Reasons to Invest in Israeli Hi-Tech

Michael Eisenberg, GP at Benchmark Capital discusses why one should invest in Israeli hi-tech at this time: 

1) VC industry which was overfunded in the 1999-2000 time frame has since become right-sized – right number of funds for the right number of deals

2) We are seeing the second wave of entrepreneurs – Made it in the past, have previous experience in building companies

3) Global market has become a GLOBAL market – Israel is geographically uniquely positioned to capture the whole global economy

4) Israel has always been very strong in deep technology and now with the social internet, Israeli companies are able to reach a larger number of consumers

    Israeli high tech (start up) companies been known for years to be unique, deep technology oriented and even more than that, to provide unconventional approaches in there solutions, the problem, as it always been, is in the management levels. The most important part of the VC's in any scale is to make sure that the management/leaders positions are populated by the correct people. Something, that to my regret is not always been done.
